Cities: The most popular places to live are Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Gdańsk, and Poznań.

Warsaw is modern, business-oriented, and international.

Kraków is historic, cultural, and popular with expats and students.

Wrocław is known for its lively atmosphere and numerous bridges and islands.

Gdańsk offers a maritime atmosphere on the Baltic coast.
Rents:
Generally lower than in Western Europe. In 2025, the average rent for an apartment will be:

in Warsaw: €700–€1,000/month (city center)

in smaller towns: €400–€600/month

Living in the countryside is affordable and peaceful, but amenities (shops, public transport, internet) can be limited.
